Well Made Shikibuton

I bought the 5 inch shikibuton for my tatami platform bed. I was a little nervous about the 3 inch being too thin and uncomfortable, but the 5 inch was just right. Flip and fluff and maintain the shikibuton. It stays cool and dry. It is firmer than a western mattress.

Solid Futon

Got rid of a bed in our spare room because we needed the space. We wanted something we can use when we needed it, but can roll or fold up and put away. Visiting friends spent the week sleeping on it and said they slept great on it. I also slept on it a few times when we first got it, and it's great! Would recommend. Got the 5.

Ideal Shikifuton

I got this shikifuton for a full night sleep Even on hard floors it is still soft enough for me. It folds well too. Not at all squishy like cheap foam. Well made, good craftsmanship. I weigh 150lbs and bought 3 inch futon.

Shipping

Furniture over $199 Ships for Free in the Continental (Lower 48) United States of America. We do charge for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, and International Shipments, which is quoted on an order-by-order basis. Most furniture ships freight, which is delivered curbside to your driveway. If you need assistance getting the item into your house, carrying furniture up a flight of stairs, or more hands-on services, like assembly or white glove services, we can assist with finding the right upgrades at the right prices. Returns and Cancellations

Most of our customers love our products at first sight, but if you change your mind or don’t like a product, we can cancel most orders up to the point they ship. Products in new, unopened, resalable condition can also be sent back in original packaging materials, but the customer is responsible for the return shipping/freight charges, per our Return Policy. Lastly, Custom Made and Made-to-Order items must be cancelled within 72 hours or are charged in full to start the production, at which point, they can’t be cancelled or returned. Warranties

Our catalog of furniture items is high quality and made to last. All furniture items are sold with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in craftsmanship or functionality per our Return Policy. For your convenience, if a situation does occur regarding warranty or shipping issues, Haiku Designs will file and coordinate all claims and warranty replacements. Beyond that, it is our desire to have happy customers and earn your business anytime you have home furnishing needs. Mattress Topper & Shikibuton Care Sheet:

Toppers and Shikibutons will compress about 10-15% during the first 3 to 6 months of use. This occurs when the crimp in the wool or cotton fibers begin to decrease and moisture begins to build up. Repeatedly sleeping in the same spot on a new topper or shikibuton will create a very noticeable depression or dip. The proper care will help prevent your topper or shikibuton from dipping & sagging. These Five steps below will ensure that your new topper or shikibuton will wear evenly and last for years to come.

  1. Rotate - Be sure to rotate your Topper or Shikibuton every week by flipping it on the reverse side. Do not sit or sleep on the same side of the topper or shikibuton.
  2. Circulate - Shikibutons should be placed on cocopads or tatami mats so they can breathe properly. This can also prevent them from getting flat over time.
  3. Protector - Protect your Topper or Shikibuton from stains and dirt by using a removable futon cover or a mattress pad.
  4. Sun - Toppers & Shikibutons need to be placed in the Sun twice a year to remove moisture.
  5. Airing - Toppers & Shikibutons need the proper airflow to keep their optimal softness and last for years to come.

These easy steps will help you maintain and care for your Mattress & Futon Mattress which will allow them to last for years to come!
