Shipping

Furniture over $199 Ships for Free in the Continental (Lower 48) United States of America. We do charge for shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, US Territories, and International Shipments, which is quoted on an order-by-order basis. Most furniture ships freight, which is delivered curbside to your driveway. If you need assistance getting the item into your house, carrying furniture up a flight of stairs, or more hands-on services, like assembly or white glove services, we can assist with finding the right upgrades at the right prices. Returns and Cancellations

Most of our customers love our products at first sight, but if you change your mind or don’t like a product, we can cancel most orders up to the point they ship. Products in new, unopened, resalable condition can also be sent back in original packaging materials, but the customer is responsible for the return shipping/freight charges, per our Return Policy. Lastly, Custom Made and Made-to-Order items must be cancelled within 72 hours or are charged in full to start the production, at which point, they can’t be cancelled or returned. Warranties

Our catalog of furniture items is high quality and made to last. All furniture items are sold with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty against defects in craftsmanship or functionality per our Return Policy. For your convenience, if a situation does occur regarding warranty or shipping issues, Haiku Designs will file and coordinate all claims and warranty replacements. Beyond that, it is our desire to have happy customers and earn your business anytime you have home furnishing needs. Feel free to contact us with any issues you have with a Haiku Designs purchase, and we’ll do what we can to help you resolve them.

Haiku Designs accepts all major credit cards, checks, PayPal, Affirm and Venmo through our secure website checkout. Generally, we’ll charge you at the time the order ships (except custom and made-to-order items which are charged ahead of starting production).

Care Instructions

CARE GUIDES

All Products:

• Avoid placing the furniture in direct sunlight as this will cause materials to fade and crack over time. Direct sunlight includes sunlight coming through windows.
• Do not place the furniture too close to a heater appliance as this may distort the material or surface finish.
• Do not place the furniture directly against a wall, leave at least a small space.
• Colored fabrics may rub off.
• If possible, on pieces that support it, rotate the cushions regularly to even wear and any fading.
• Make sure to keep a general air humidity where your furniture is placed through regular ventilation.
• Innovation Living furniture is not intended for outdoor use. Wet or moist environments will cause corrosion.

Fabrics:

• Keep the fabric clean of dust and dirt by vacuuming regularly.
• If your furniture gets spots from beverages, food, etc, dry the spots immediately with a clean cloth. If this does not remove the spot completely, apply a mild detergent foam with a soft brush and sponge in a circular motion. The clean spot can be dried with a hair dryer using low heat only. Vacuum the spot when it is dry. It is recommended that you pre-test this process on a small, unexposed area before cleaning the spot to make sure your soap does not stain the piece.
• All fabrics in the Innovation Living collection are machine-washable on Eco-warm. Innovation Living recommends the following care instructions: Wash by unzipping the cover and turning inside-out. Machine wash using eco-warm. Use half-full washing machine using standard detergent, no special chemical cleaners. Centrifuge on reduced speed, and do not tumble dry. Hang up to dry until the fabric is damp-dry/slightly damp. IMPORTANT: Reattach and zip up the fabric while STILL MOIST. Let fabric finish drying completely while reattached. This is to ensure proper fit, no shrinkage or wrinkling. Contact us if you have questions.
• For more difficult stains, such as blood, oil, ink, etc, please contact a professional dry cleaner.

Wood Surfaces:

• Several Innovation Living furniture have wood legs and/or arm rests. As wood is a natural living material that continues to develop over time, its color and surface change according to the use of the furniture. Wood must be protected from direct sunlight to reduce fading.

Metallic Surfaces:

• Dust regularly with a soft cloth.
• Never use scouring agents on metallic surfaces
• Repair damaged surfaces immediately to prevent corrosion
• Chrome and stainless steel can be treated and cleaned with a suitable cleaning agent, please consult an expert for advice.

Innovation Living Mattresses:

• Innovation Living's Mattress Comforts are continuously developed to achieve an improved comfort by increasingly developing the mattress quality and environmental appeal. Innovation Living's mattress range includes several options with various comforts, each a unique combination of layers and materials to fulfill most needs and user situations.

Fiberfill:

• Fiberfill in Innovation Living mattresses are developed to provide better comfort, longer durability and a more environmentally friendly mattress. Fiberfill is a strong material ensuring similar mattress form and an effective transportation of humidity away, keeping you comfortable while you sleep. Simultaneously, fiberfill is more resistant towards humidity, blemish and potential ignition.
• The composition of the mattress and its flexible materials improve the mattress lifetime, making them ideal for use in sofa beds. Moreover, the fill fiberfill is a low CO2-emission material that at the same time is recyclable and OEKO-TEX certified. This means less resource consumption and ensures a lighter mattress.

Innovation Living Cushions:

• Most of our cushion fillings consist of a mix of feather and polyester fillings. These materials are combined to ensure the best back support and comfort. An increasing proportion of our cushions consist of OEKO-TEX recycled fiberfill. Make sure to regularly turn and lightly beat the cushions to maintain shape, filling and comfort.
• All cushion covers can be removed and machin-washed at eco-warm. Look under Fabrics to see recommended care instructions.
• For more difficult stains such as blood, oil, ink, etc, please contact a professional dry cleaner.
• To facilitate transportation, Innovation Living has have vacuum packed the cushions. This makes the filling look less plump. To get the cushions in shape, please remove the plastic and fluff up the cushion until the filling is plump and stretchy. If needed repeat this process a few times over the next few days. Regulate the corners of the cushion to make the filling spread evenly. Finally, put the cushion into its cover. Remember to fluff up the cushion regularly to maintain its shape, especially after periods of heavy use. Keep the room well ventilated to avoid humidity, which can extend the lifetime and durability of the Innovation Living (and really, all) cushions.

Other Common Care Questions

1. How long is the warranty on Innovation Living Items? Innovation Living offers a 5-year limited manufacturer's warranty.
2. Is my cushion cover missing? For protection, sometimes the cushion cover is shipped inside the seat of your sofa bed. Simply unzip the seat and find the covers. In the unlikely event they are actually missing, please contact us and we will assist.
3. Is it possible to clean and renew the covers? Pieces with detachable covers are renewable and available in all fabrics from the 2023/24 collection. The Conlix and Yonata feature detachable covers that are machine washable and renewable. Wash by unzipping the cover and turning inside-out. Machine wash using eco-warm. Use half-full washing machine using standard detergent, no special chemical cleaners. Centrifuge on reduced speed, and do not tumble dry. Hang up to dry until the fabric is damp-dry/slightly damp. 4. Is it possible to add arms to a sofa originally bought without arms if we change our mind at a later stage? Yes, on items that support it, for example the Recast Plus, Frode and Osvald, you can buy additional arm rest kits. Models like Dublexo, Cubed and Supremax require a new frame, but allow you to reuse the upholstery. Contact us for questions.
5. When I purchase my Innovation Living sleeper sofa, will it arrive assembled? To lower CO2 emissions and risk of damage during transport, the collections arrive flat-packed. We usually have assembly instructions in the package and here on the Haiku Designs website, but contact us if you're unable to find them and we'll help you out!
