The Ossett Japanese Platform Bed offers an ideal way to infuse your bedroom sanctuary with a serene ambiance. Combining a sleek and inviting design, the Ossett boasts an expansive headboard that gracefully extends over two "floating" single-drawer nightstands, seamlessly integrated into the bed frame. The mattress rests snugly on a flat, sturdy pine platform with built-in air ventilation, ensuring a cleaner and healthier sleep environment. There's no need for a box spring. Plus, it comes with two removable headrests upholstered in eco pelle material. The platform's height measures 14 inches (with a 4-inch inset). Mattress not included.

We were looking for a modern platform bed with attached nightstands but were concerned about how low some of them were. This style is perfect. It’s not too low to the ground so it’s easy getting out of bed, we are in our late 50s, but still low enough so it looks sleek and modern. Would recommend to anyone wanting a modern look.
I love this bed, but it is extremely heavy and sturdy. Was so glad I got White Glove and had them carry it all in and clean up afterwards. Assembly took 20 minutes, so I guess that means it was easy.
This bed is gorgeous!! Just like the pictures. The low profile is perfect. It makes the room feel open and spacious. The finish has a deep, rich color. I love everything about it. I would recommend NOT getting a thick mattress as it will interfere with the fit of the white pieces on the headboard. If the mattress is too high, the pieces can’t rest on the headboard. They will be sticking up because they will be sitting on the mattress. You could force them down but they will be pushing into the mattress. It would be nice if the manufacturer noted this in the description and told you the maximum recommended mattress height of 12 inches deep or less. Overall I am still very happy with my purchase.
This bed is everything we wanted. The quality is very sturdy, no flaws in the exterior. We love the side tables that are floating it really gives the mid century look we wanted. The white squares on the head board are removable and high quality leather. You can slide them together or apart or take them off. The height off the floor is perfect for us, it’s low enough to get the look we want but not so low it’s hard to get in and out of. So bottom line- absolutely love the product. I would highly recommend this bed!
Headboard corner got dented during Shipping. Had to wait extra time to get a replacement because of Covid. Haiku Designs communicated the whole time and made it right. Would have liked the replacement faster, but what can you do?
