Important Delivery Inspection Instructions
At Haiku Designs, we strive to ensure that your order is delivered safely and in perfect condition. However, in the rare event of damage during transit, it is essential to follow these guidelines to ensure timely resolution and claims processing. Please read and adhere to the following instructions:
1. Inspect the Boxes Upon Delivery
- Check for Visible Damage: When your order is delivered, carefully inspect all boxes for any visible damage (e.g., tears, dents, or holes).
- Note on the Delivery Receipt: If you notice any damage to the boxes, make a clear note of it on the delivery receipt before signing. Do not use vague phrases like "subject to inspection"; instead, describe the damage (e.g., "box dented on corner").
2. Unbox and Inspect All Products
- Keep Packaging Materials: If you find any damage, retain all packaging materials (boxes, wrapping, etc.) as they may be required for the claims process.
- Unpack Promptly: After receiving your delivery, unbox and inspect all items carefully. Look for any damage to the product itself.

Take Photos: If you find any damage, take clear and detailed photographs:
- Close-up shots to capture the damage clearly.
- Zoomed-out shots to provide context (e.g., showing the entire item with the damaged area visible).
3. Report Damage Within 72 Hours
- Timeframe: Any damage must be reported to Haiku Designs within 72 hours of delivery.

Provide Documentation: When reporting, include:
- A description of the damage.
- Photos of the damage (both close-up and zoomed-out).
- A copy of the delivery receipt with any notes about box damage.
4. Why Prompt Action is Necessary
Timely reporting allows us to work with the carrier to file a claim and provide you with a resolution. Failure to inspect and report damage within 72 hours may result in a denial of the claim from the carrier, and Haiku Designs may be limited in assisting further.
